HELP TEACH GOD'S WORD TO THE WORLD
You've heard it said before: "We're in the last days!" People have been saying this for a long time, and it's true. We really are living in the end of days, and our Lord Jesus is coming soon.
As you read through the Gospels, you see that Jesus said numerous times to be ready and to live ready, but that's not all Jesus said. Let's look at the Gospel of Matthew. Jesus said what we are about to read to His disciples in general, but it's for us today, too.
“And Jesus came and spake unto them saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ”Matthew 28:18-20 In verse 18, Jesus said, "All power [exousia in the Greek, and it means authority] is given unto me in heaven and earth."
Notice that Jesus used the word all–not 30% power, not 60% power–but all power has been given to Him. That's a great thing, and is really important when it comes to doing what Jesus told us to do in verse 19: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…" He told us to go forth and teach all nations.
The Greek word for teach means to become a pupil; to be a disciple, to instruct. Nations is ethnos in the Greek and it means a race, a tribe, especially, a foreign one.
